BRAND
DESIGN
A logo is really just the beginning. Designing a strong brand identity goes much deeper than a single visual asset. It's the complete visual language system that carries your story across every touchpoint, from a business card to a billboard, a website to a social feed. It's what makes your brand instantly recognisable, consistently compelling, and uniquely ownable.
Brand design is where strategy becomes something you can actually see. Having established who you are, who you're talking to, and what you stand for, this is the area where those foundations are translated into a visual identity that communicates all of that at a glance. I craft meticulous, layered identities that don't just look great but are built with depth, designed to connect and made to leave a mark.
WHO IS THIS SERVICE SUITED FOR?
Brand design is for anyone who needs a visual identity that does more than just fill a space. It's the right service if you're:
A founder or business that has completed brand strategy and is ready to bring it to life visually
A new business that needs a complete visual identity built from the ground up
An established brand with an outdated identity that no longer reflects who you are or where you're headed
A business with a logo but no complete, cohesive brand system built around it
HOW
I CAN HELP
Brand design encompasses a wide range of visual disciplines, each playing its own role in building a complete identity. Whether you need the full visual package or a specific element to complete what you already have, here's a breakdown of what I offer and how each contributes to creating a more distinctive brand.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Before anything is designed, a clear creative direction needs to be established. This is the process of defining the visual world your brand will inhabit. That includes the aesthetic language, the mood, the references, and the principles that will guide every design decision which follows. It ensures that everything created feels intentional, cohesive, and entirely aligned with your brand strategy.
BRAND & VISUAL IDENTITY
Your brand identity is the full visual system that brings your brand to life. It goes beyond a logo to encompass every visual element that represents who you are, including colour, typography, imagery, layouts, and more. A well-crafted visual identity creates instant recognition and communicates your message without a single word.
LOGO DESIGN
Your logo is the cornerstone of your brand identity, the mark that people will associate with everything you do. I approach logo design as a strategic exercise as much as a creative one, crafting distinctive, versatile marks that are entirely ownable and work across every context.
ILLUSTRATION & ICONOGRAPHY
Custom illustration and iconography give your brand a visual voice that no AI tools or stock library can replicate. Whether it's a suite of icons that aid navigation or bespoke illustrations that tell your story, these elements add personality and a layer of depth that sets your brand apart.
BRAND GUIDELINES
A brand is only as strong as its consistency. Brand guidelines are the rulebook that keeps everything aligned, documenting exactly how your visual identity should be applied across every touchpoint. Whether it's your team, a printer, or a future designer working with your brand, guidelines ensure that what was built with care stays that way.
ANIMATION & MOTION
In a world where brands live increasingly across ever-growing digital platforms, motion is becoming an essential part of any visual identity. From animated logos to bespoke motion graphics, bringing your brand to life through movement adds a dynamic dimension that static design alone cannot achieve.

Got questions about brand design or how it might apply to your project? Here are some of the things I get asked most often. If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to get in touch directly.
Because your brand is far more than just a logo. A brand identity is the complete visual system that communicates who you are, what you stand for, and why someone should choose you. This features across every platform, every touchpoint and every interaction. Without it, your brand lacks the consistency and depth needed to build real recognition and trust with the right audience.
A logo is the starting point, not the destination. On its own, it has no context, no colour system, no typography and no guidelines for how it lives in the world. A brand identity gives your logo meaning by building a complete visual language around it, ensuring your brand communicates consistently and compellingly wherever it shows up.
If your brand no longer reflects where your business is, who it serves, or where it's headed, it’s time. Other signals include inconsistency across touchpoints, a disconnect between your visual identity and your actual positioning, or simply feeling like your brand is holding you back rather than pushing you forward. Trust that instinct. Learn more about the right time to make this decision here. Learn more about the right time to make this decision here.
Every project is scoped individually, but a full brand package typically includes a logo design suite, a defined colour palette, typography systems, brand guidelines, and supporting assets such as patterns, iconography, or templates. The exact deliverables are agreed upfront so you know exactly what you're getting and why each element is included.
Deeply involved - that's the point. The best brand identities come from genuine collaboration, not a designer disappearing and presenting something finished. You'll be involved from the very beginning through structured feedback and presentation stages, ensuring the work stays true to the vision we created while benefiting from considered creative direction throughout.
Every project includes dedicated revision stages built into the process, so nothing ever reaches sign-off without your full approval. Feedback is welcomed, discussed, and incorporated at each stage rather than left until the end. The goal is always a result you're genuinely proud of and the process is designed to be enjoyed and get us there together.
Most brand identity projects run between six to eight weeks depending on the scope. A focused identity project can be completed toward the shorter end, while a full brand package including guidelines, assets, and supporting collateral takes longer. If strategy is included, this will also naturally extend the timeline. Timelines are always discussed upfront so you know exactly what to expect.
Honestly, you certainly can, but there's a significant issue beyond aesthetics. AI-generated logos are currently not eligible for trademark registration in most cases because they lack the human authorship required for intellectual property protection. That means you can't legally own them exclusively. Anyone could use a similar or identical mark without consequence. A professionally designed logo is an original, ownable asset, and that ownership is what gives it real long-term value.
A great brand identity is one of the most valuable investments you can make. If you're ready to build something distinctive, cohesive, and entirely yours, let's start the conversation.
